Privacy Policy

Tide is a private cycle and mood companion. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over your data. This page is maintained by the Tide team to answer common questions about how the app handles your information; it is not an independent certification.
What we collect
- Account, email address and provider ID from Apple or Google sign-in.
- Cycle data, your preferred name, last period start date, and cycle length that you enter.
- Mood, the one-tap mood you log each day.
- Partner sharing, invite codes you create and the account ID of a partner who accepts one.
We do not collect location, contacts, health-app data, advertising IDs, or device sensors.
How we use it
Your data powers the Today, Cycle, and Settings views inside the app. Cycle and mood data are shown to a partner only while you have an active, non-revoked invite share. Revoking the invite immediately removes their access.
Storage & security
Data is stored in an encrypted managed Postgres database. Row-Level Security policies restrict every row to its owner and, where applicable, a linked partner. Sign-in uses Apple and Google OAuth. Tide never sees your password.
Sharing
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. The only third parties that process your data on our behalf are our authentication and database providers.
Your controls
- Revoke a partner's access at any time from Settings.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing the address below.
- Sign out to end the session on this device.
Children
Tide is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
